For those of you who are curious , here is a picture of what the T.V. Computer Desk I sit behind at the shop looked like before Husband Chad painted it…

Basically, we just gutted it, so there are no more tubes and wires, but the picture tube is still in tact and that pointy picture tube thingy sticking out still pokes me in knees repeatedly.  I’ve actually taken to taping bubble wrap around it to spare myself the agony of being stabbed in the knee cap by the sharp, piercing point of a vintage television tube.

We left all the knobs and dials in place.  I never lift the lids at the shop, but they’re there if anyone ever asks to see them.  I placed computer speakers inside the unit and point them out thru the already-exisiting speaker fabric.  I play Pandora thru the speakers and it sounds like the T.V. really works!

And here is what it looks like now!  It makes an awesome desk and one heck of a back breaker.  This thing weighs a ton, but was well worth it for what I paid…$1.12!!!
